Building on the success from the white-glove sale of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from a single owner collection last Autumn, on 27 March, Christie’s Wine Department is honoured to kick off the global live auction calendar by presenting another stellar single owner collection featuring Bordeaux First Growths from a superlative private collection, available in case quantities from the 2000s, and a wonderful array of Petrus spanning six decades. This collection will also introduce an impressive offering of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1990s and 2000s, as well as a fine selection of Prieuré Roch, Bouchard Père & Fils, and Faiveley.

 

Other collection highlights in the sale include a magnificent selection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1970s to 2000s from a European cellar, Bordeaux classics from 1990s to 2010s available in substantial quantities, and a small offering of Japanese whisky Karuizawa. The little shrine of Lord Muniswarar was built in 1930 as a makeshift place of worship by the first batch of Tamils who settled in Ampang, now called Bandar Baru Ampang. The descendants of the settlers recently pooled their limited resources to build a proper brick and mortar temple but eventually ran out of funds to complete the structure!
