IF YOU ARE LOCKED IN A ROOM FOR 12 HOURS WITH A TIGER, GORILLA AND HYENA, WHAT ARE YOUR CHANCES OF SURVIVAL?

If we locked you, a tiger, a gorilla, and a hyena in a room for 12 hours, what would happen? What are your chances of survival?

Okay so worse case…

First thing. Understand my place in the situation, me without anything (weapons/tools) are the weakest, most vulnerable thing in the room. 

The bottom of the food chain and in the new social hierarchy. Now… the tiger and the gorilla are at the top, both have the ability to kill everyone and assert dominance in the room, the hyena does not and is between me and them. 

Now realise which one is most likely going to kill me, that’s the tiger. Do you see what it’s doing above? You’d be wise to do the same and not take yours eyes off it until it gets uninterested and does you, because it sees you as very easy prey, not because they hunt humans, but because you are now in its territory and it will feel threatened and want to eliminate the threats. 

So get in the furthest corner of the room from it backing up and not breaking eye contact, slouch into it in a ball not leaving any limbs out and just watch the tiger, if it comes close to smell/investigate me, hide my limbs and especially my neck/head by covering it, no sharp movements or noises, if it attacks they usually growl before they bite so just try gouge its eyes. 

But hopefully that doesn’t happen. It will get uninterested and focus on the hyena, who isn’t really a problem for me unless I provoke it, however it will likely do something stupid, cower and get killed by the tiger. 

Then there were 3… The tiger would either leave it dead or eat it if it was desperate, either way stay away from its kill. If I’m in there for a while, it’s only a matter of time before the tiger comes for me, maybe it will engage the silverback gorilla and realise it probably doesn’t want that fight. 

So, what do I do? There’s only two options as I see it. While always watching the tiger incase it becomes interested and fancies a surprise attack on me, crawl over to the dead hyena body, try get a rib cage or bone you can sharpen as a shank. 

If the tigers only killed it that’s not an option, so your last chance? Harambe himself, after all…

try get as close to him as he allows, if somehow possible befriend him. But if not that’s fine just be close. 

If days pass or the tiger comes for me now be ready to shank him and/or hop up and get behind the silverback, using him as a shield or obstacle to the tiger for me. 

Hoping the silverback goes ape shit and pounds, bites and rips the cat to pieces. Helping it if you can because it may still be a close fight. 

After that if no one comes to be my saviour and the ape, being the only two omnivores left will waste away and die, knowing the only two strictly carnivores are dead.
