Freshly made daily with
love and passion, finest ingredients from around the world and less sugar, VIVE’s
‘2020 Festive Vibes’ collection is again destined for stardom in three delightful
designs available through to 31
December 2020.
“2020 has been
challenging for everyone, our team at VIVE sincerely hope this year's festive
season collection of handcrafted sweet creations will cheer everyone up with
positive, loving vibes,” said Vive Cake Boutique founder and cake designer
Vivien Lau.
Turquoise-coloured Holly Jolly (HK$780,
1.5lb; HK$1,280, 2.2lbs) is as pretty as its pastel green-blue shade and pink wreath of
butter-cream roses, styled as a religious Christian symbol representing eternal
life. With a glittering ‘Holly Jolly’ topper, it’s in a choice of five luscious
flavours – ever-popular Banana Cake with Chocolate Buttercream & Crunchies; sultry Red Velvet Buttercake with
Cream Cheese; traditionally refined
Earl Grey Cake with Earl Grey Cream Cheese; irresistible Rich Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache; and
classic Vanilla Sponge Cake with Mango
& Yuzu Mousse.
Wishful Christmas (HK$980, 1lb; HK$1,580, 2lbs) is a striking red velvet and icicle-white
pot pourri design with VIVE’s same five classic flavour options, adorned with edible white and gold
snowflakes and white, red and gold jingle bells.
Ringed by a bouquet of fresh flowers of mini roses, chrysanthemum, heart-shaped
eucalyptus and
festive topper, Merry & Bright (HK$1,280,
1.5lb; HK$1,980, 2.2lbs) is romantically mauve-pink, with choice of four of the
signature flavours: Banana Cake with Chocolate
Buttercream & Crunchies; Red Velvet Buttercake with Cream Cheese; Earl Grey
Cake with Earl Grey Cream Cheese; and Rich Chocolate
Cake with Chocolate Ganache.
Vive Cake
Boutique’s Christmas cake collection is available from today to 31 December 2020,
for orders placed at least four days in advance.
Delightful
mini-cakes complete the collection, with White
Christmas (HK$58), a chestnut mousse sponge cake of chestnut puree on short
bread; and Snowfall (HK$58), a
blueberry-vanilla mousse sponge cake with blueberry filling on short bread.
Vive Cake Boutique has proved a roaring
success story since being launched with online orders in 2014 by founder and
creative director Vivien Lau, who discovered her passion and talent by chance,
making her first cake for a friend’s birthday.
VIVE’s widespread acclaim includes Time Out’s listing among the “crème de
la crème of Hong Kong’s bespoke dessert makers” – with a massive celebrity and
socialite following including Aaron Kwok, Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung, Niki
Chow, Sharon Chan, Miki Yeung, Ella Koon, Myolie Wu and more.
Open from 11:30 am to 8 pm on Monday to Friday and

About Vive Cake Boutique and Founder Vivien
Lau
Vive Cake Boutique was founded by Vivien Lau, a
self-taught cake designer with a Biomedical Sciences degree, in 2014 as an
online enterprise creating cakes for private customers who “like something a
little different”. The eponymous brand has since proved a roaring success
story, launching first as a ‘pop up’ at The Pulse in 2015 and subsequently
expanding to H Queen in Central with trademark ‘pink’ and sleek marble décor.
From the beginning, Vivien Lau has stood by her
motto: “The only way to create great things is to love what you create.”
The artisan cake boutique’s signature
handmade cakes, cupcakes, confectioneries, cookies and tailor-made cakes for
weddings and special occasions are all made freshly from scratch from finest
ingredients sourced from all over the world.
Her edible works of art are intricate and elegant, playful and feminine,
beautiful and delicious, yet unconventional and original.
Vive Cake Boutique has attracted widespread
acclaim, ranked among the “crème de la crème of Hong Kong’s bespoke dessert
makers” by Time Out, with a large celebrity and socialite following including
Aaron Kwok, Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung, Niki Chow, Sharon Chan, Miki Yeung
and more.
Corporate collaborations have also included the
kikes of Piaget, H&M, Sasa, Lane Crawford, Estee Lauder, Sanrio, Christian
Louboutin, Live Nation, Sino Club, Oh Joyce Floral, Inspiration, Fresh, Cath
Kidston and Benefit Cosmetics.
