DID ANY KEH POCHI READ THE STAR NEWSPAPER REPORT DATED FRIDAY 10 MAY 2019 THAT ANNOUNCED THE JUICY NEWS DATO SRI NICKY LIOW SOON HEE HAD BEEN DISCHARGED AND ACQUITTED OVER THE RELA CASE? HE WAS ACCUSED OF BEATING 3 RELA MEMBERS AND CHARGED IN COURT BUT WAS NOW CLEARED. THIS NEWS REPORT IN THE STAR IS JUST ONE OF SO MANY THAT ANNOUNCED THE THE COURT JUDGMENT. YET A FEW ARE STILL HARPING ON THIS ISSUE, IMPLYING THE CASEC IS STILL ON-GOING AND NOT SETTLED! IF SO, THESE HANDFUL SHOULD ALSO ASK IF DATUK SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM IS STILL IN JAIL! SINCE THIS WAS A VERY, VERY MINOR CASE, I PRESUME MANY WERE DISAPPOINTED THERE WAS NO DRAMA AS DATO LIOW SOON HEE WAS NOT SENTENCED TO DEATH BY HANGING!

SO NOW PEOPLE READ ONLINE WHATEVER IS ADDED BUT DATO SRI LIOW SOON HEE IS NOT ROYAL NOR INVOLVED IN SEX BUT MANY ARE BESOTTED WITH HIS AURA!

This can be due to the fact he is young, tallish, rich, handsome, sexy with hot bod and the youngest philanthropist. Some say he got his millions illegally but why is he walking around town free as a bird?

I am sure most want to be like him with 2 Rolls-Royces and 1 Bentley and make money as he does so easily and quickly. 

But however hard I tried I still don't have tens of thousands let alone millions. 

For one Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos, there are several billions who failed miserably! Or else all of us would be driving Ferraris and wondering what to do with surplus cash as we wade knee-deep in a sea of ringgit in palatial homes.

If rich people like Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee do not donate to charity, people complain he is stingy, selfish and self-serving!

If he donates, people complain why so little since he has so much.

If he donates lotsa money, people complain he is showing off his wealth.

If he donates just the right, politically correct amount, people complain 'easy come, easy go'! 

You just cannot win! You turn left, you kena whacked. You turn right, you kena whacked! You stand still also kena whacked! I think when you drop dead also kena whacked!

Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee made his first million aged 25 and started donating to charity soon after. 

At age 29 when the RELA case occurred, Dato Sri Liow Soo Hee was already known for his philanthropy. 

You would think he would receive sympathy over the RELA case but some enjoyed seeing him being kicked when down! Is this human nature? I also dunno.

Maybe most Malaysians who knew of his charitable donations did sympathise with Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee but they were the silent majority.

In Australia this is called 'Tall Poppy Syndrome' which refers to a field of poppies where the tallest poppy tend to be chopped off or cut down to size. In human society, the richest or most powerful or high-profile folks are always the first to be tried and hanged when something bad happens.

Guess this is unavoidable in a sad way. If the person who beat the 3 RELA members was a unknown, normal salaryman earning RM 3,800 a month, none would give a damn and the case would have been solved on the spot with a payment for pharmacy bills.

But the guy was Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee and known for his charity and donations to worthy causes. So this was blown out of proportion though he did not deny throwing his weight around! 

If  the guy had a name like Chan Pek Lou or Lee Ming Wan, no newspapers worth their printing ink would waste a sentence on him or at most bury the incident amid a sea of hohum, boring, nondescript news.

But Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee had a title, good looks and millions in the bank so he was fodder for the sacrifice! No point wasting time and money on the poor and unknown right! A coolie who killed a Mongolian or mongoloid model does not generate the same amount of interest as a top politician right?

Even more amazing, The Star newspaper reported Dato Sri Liow Soon Hee was discharged and acquitted on Friday 10 May 2019 under the heading 'Datuk Seri in RELA assault case acquitted after victims accept RM 2,000 compound payment' but yet I still read crazy stories online asking why he is not in jail for beating up the 2 RELA guys! 

This is like asking if Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been released from prison! 

Or is this called Life?
